Rural Voices: Health Care, Goats, & Ice Cream

Scoops, Goats, and Good Health: Join Us in Malone!

Navigating healthcare shouldn’t feel like a solo chore. Join the Wisconsin Farmers Union for a resource-packed afternoon built for local farming communities.

  • When: Sunday, August 23rd | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Where: LaClare Family Creamery (W2994 County Rd HH, Malone, WI)

  • RSVP: Register by Wednesday, August 19th at wisconsinfarmersunion.com/events

Affordable health and mental healthcare keep family farms thriving.

“Healthcare services are harder to access in rural areas,” says event organizer LaToya Bates. “Farmers face higher rates of injury and stress. Connecting with local resources is vital.”

Heavy topics are easier to tackle over fresh food, ice cream, and goats.

  • 11:30 AM: Optional lunch buffet ($18/person). Enjoy fresh sandwiches and salads. GF and vegetarian options are available.

About Pam Jahnke
