Six Cheese Treats To Look For At WI State Fair

The Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board announced that the Real Wisconsin Cheese Grill will feature six blue ribbon-winning menu items from August 6–16. Celebrating the 175th fair presented by T-Mobile, the lineup includes three daily sandwich specials, cheese curds, string cheese, and premium butter.

Chefs will prepare all sandwiches using Foremost Farms’ first-place salted butter. “Winning the blue ribbon is a tremendous honor and a reflection of our quality,” stated Brenda Dehart, President and CEO of Foremost Farms USA. “We are proud to share this award-winning butter as the official sponsor.”

The Real Wisconsin Cheese Grill will sell award-winning snacks daily at the 175th Wisconsin State Fair. Fairgoers can enjoy Henning traditional cheese curds and Sargento string cheese, which both won Best of Class honors at the 2026 contest.

“Competing alongside the best in our industry and emerging on top is a true honor,” said Rebekah Henschel, fourth-generation Henning Cheese owner.

Beyond these daily snacks, the menu features three sandwich specials highlighting different blue ribbon-winning cheeses throughout the fair’s run.
