Some people see a farm. Teri Barr sees the stories all around it.
The Mid-West Farm Report Network proudly welcomes the award-winning veteran broadcaster to its
content creation team. Barr will be sharing a look at the people, innovation, and traditions that
make agriculture unique.
She knows about it first-hand, too. Growing up on her family’s dairy farm west of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Barr saw her parents advocate for better policies for all farmers. She was active in 4-H, served as Fairest of the Fair, Farm Bureau Queen, and was runner-up for Alice in Dairyland.
Barr brings more than 25 years of experience in radio, TV, digital media, podcasting, and community-focused journalism. “I look forward to meeting and learning from farmers and ag professionals while helping consumers understand the important work happening every day,” she said. “I understand
agriculture isn’t just about crops or livestock. It's about families, resilience, innovation,
stewardship, and feeding communities. These are the stories I want to tell.”
Barr most recently helped launch Civic Media's radio network, where she created award-winning
content for stations across Wisconsin. Her radio background includes stops in Shawano (while
still in high school), Oshkosh, and Green Bay. She then worked as a TV news anchor in
Wausau, Green Bay, and Madison, along with positions in several large media markets outside
of the state.
