Fed lambs were $5-$15/cwt lower last week with market ewes $10-$15/cwt lower. The cutout value was $10 higher than the previous Friday at $627.96. It is estimated that 35,000 sheep and lambs were harvested last week and that is 3,000 more than the previous week and 5,000 more than last year. Lamb and carcass weights continue to decrease. Last week’s average live weight was 111 pounds with an average carcass weight of 56 pounds.
