Farmers, crop advisors, and conservation professionals are invited to Nitrogen and Soil Management Field Day on July 1, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. It will be located at Lambalot Acres Field Site.
Hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension, this field day will provide practical, research-based insights into soil conservation and nitrogen management strategies that improve soil health, efficiency, and farm profitability.

- The impact of soil conservation practices on the landscape
- Local on-farm nitrogen application research
- Managing unprofitable acres using yield stability and profit maps
Speakers include Todd Prill, Agricultural Water Outreach Specialist, and Jerry Clark, Regional Crops and Soils Educator, both with UW–Madison Extension, along with Scott Stipetich of Pheasants Forever.
Participants can earn 1.5 Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) credits. Following the program, attendees are invited to stay for lunch, courtesy of Otter Creek Agronomy, and learn more about the Eau Claire County Watershed Alliance—a newly forming, farmer-led group focused on improving farm economics, efficiency, and environmental outcomes.
