Wisconsin FFA Welcomes Russell

The Wisconsin FFA Center Board is pleased to announce the hiring of Jen Russell as the new Managing Director of Chapter and Member Programming for the Wisconsin FFA Center.  Russell will begin her duties on August 1, 2026.

Russell brings more than 20 years of experience in agricultural education, FFA leadership, curriculum coordination, and statewide program development. In her role, she will oversee chapter and member recognition programming for the Wisconsin Association of FFA, including awards, degrees, leadership development events, SAE for All programming, and statewide recognition initiatives.

“We are excited to welcome Jen to the Wisconsin FFA team.  Her passion for agricultural education, commitment to student success, and strong organizational leadership make her an excellent addition to the Wisconsin FFA team,” said Kristin Hanson, Wisconsin FFA Center Board Chair.  “Her experience and collaborative approach will continue to strengthen opportunities for FFA members and advisors across Wisconsin.”

Experience

Russell previously served as an agricultural educator and FFA advisor at Shullsburg High School, where she led successful student programs in leadership development, supervised agricultural experiences, and agriscience fair participation, leading to national-level recognition. She currently serves as Curriculum Coordinator for CASE 4 Learning and is also a lecturer at UW–Platteville teaching Foundations of Educational Technology.

“I am honored to join the Wisconsin FFA Center team and continue supporting agricultural educators and FFA members across the state,” Russell said. “Wisconsin FFA has a strong tradition of excellence, and I look forward to collaborating with Team Ag Ed partners to continue strengthening programs, supporting  advisors, and creating meaningful opportunities for students.”

The Managing Director of Chapter and Member Programming works closely with Team Ag Ed partners, Wisconsin FFA staff, agricultural educators, and student leaders to support innovative programming and member development opportunities statewide.
