The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA), University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, and Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will be hosting a swine ventilation workshop on Wednesday, May 27th, at the West Madison Ag Research Station located at 8502 Mineral Point Rd. Verona, WI. Pork producers and allied industry members are invited to attend this unique educational event.
The event will commence with lunch at 11:30 a.m. followed by the program from Noon – 2:00 p.m. Led by ventilation experts from Double L Group, this workshop will assist pork producers with designing and updating ventilation systems, troubleshooting common issues, and learning strategies to maintain effective ventilation year-round. Additionally, Jeff Morris, Swine Extension Specialist, will discuss the role that ventilation plays in maintaining animal health, and Sydney Uselman of DATCP will discuss the U.S. Swine Health Improvement Plan (US SHIP) and the biosecurity significance this program has to the health and integrity of Wisconsin’s swine herd. Seating is limited and registration is required by May 22nd to guarantee lunch.
Attendees will get practical, real-life insight from some of the industry’s most skilled professionals and have open dialogue with other producers and industry professionals.
