Annual Wisconsin Jersey Spring Spectacular Accepting Entries

Entries are now open for the 27th Annual Wisconsin Jersey Spring Spectacular, set to take place May 1-2 at the Vernon County Fairgrounds in Viroqua.

This prestigious event gathers registered Jersey cattle from across the Midwest, providing breeders an opportunity to showcase their finest cattle and compete for top honors.

Tom Arrowsmith of Peachbottom, PA will judge the show. The event kicks off on Friday, May 1, at 3:00 p.m. with showmanship. On Saturday, May 2, the cattle show will begin at 9:00 a.m. with winter heifers, followed by milking classes at 12:30 p.m. New this year, there will be a Winter Senior 2-year-old class.

Entry forms are now available for interested exhibitors. Early registration includes a $20 exhibitor fee and a $10 per animal charge for entries postmarked on or before April 17. Entries submitted between April 18-24 will be $25 per animal. After this deadline, late entries will be accepted at the show for $100 per head.

The Wisconsin Jersey Spring Spectacular consistently draws cattle and attendees from Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and beyond, with up to 500 attendees in previous Years.

In addition to the cattle show, the event will feature a silent auction, with proceeds supporting the operation of the show. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals, organizations, and businesses looking to support this long-standing tradition and gain visibility within the agricultural community.

Organized entirely by dedicated volunteers, the Wisconsin Jersey Spring Spectacular continues to be a highlight for Jersey cattle enthusiasts. For more information about entries, sponsorships, or donations, please contact Karla Peterson at 608-606-1818, email [email protected], or follow the Wisconsin Jersey Spring Spectacular Facebook page.
