175 Days Until The 175th Wisconsin State Fair

Today, Wisconsin State Fair officials are commemorating 175 days until the best 11 days of summer kick off on Thursday, August 6. The countdown is on for the greatest State Fair yet as 2026 marks the 175th year of showing off Wisconsin at the Wisconsin State Fair. Since 1851, the Wisconsin State Fair has been proud to be the stage where Wisconsin shines brightest.

Every year, Wisconsin State Fair evolves and expands, but the core mission remains the same – to showcase everything that makes the state of Wisconsin so great. In 2026, the theme is an invitation to “Celebrate Together” everything Wisconsin has to offer.

“The Wisconsin State Fair is one of our state’s most cherished traditions, but it doesn’t happen without the support of our partners, exhibitors, vendors and – especially – Fairgoers,” said Shari Black, CEO of the Wisconsin State Fair. “And we can’t wait to reveal all the ways we will be commemorating this special occasion as we invite all of Wisconsin to help us throw a celebration 175 years in the making.”

Since 1851, the Wisconsin State Fair has been the can’t-miss event of the summer to create lifelong memories and celebrate larger-than-life achievements. As the Wisconsin State Fair prepares to make history for the next 175 years, get ready to be a part of the best 11 days of summer with commemorative programming. The specially designed logo will adorn unique attire, stickers and more. Get set to see the iconic signage throughout the Fair Park as you snap photos and videos for the ‘Gram.

An interactive look back on the Wisconsin State Fair – Faces of Farming – will provide a glimpse into the Fair’s storied past and connections to farmers throughout the state. Fair favorite foods like the Original Cream Puff and the highly anticipated Sporkies and Drinkies culinary creations will cook up the best of the best for the 175th celebration. Whether you’re creating new traditions or reviving family festivities decades in the making, this will be a State Fair to remember for years to come.

Additionally, the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation is inviting the community to make their mark for the 175th anniversary of Wisconsin State Fair. From now through May 1, become a 175th Anniversary Donor with a $175 gift and have your name featured on a permanent recognition plaque at the beloved Milk House as it undergoes a massive renovation for the upcoming State Fair. Not only will your gift ensure your legacy lives on at State Fair Park for years to come, but you’ll also be creating more cherished memories for Fairgoers in 2026 and beyond.

To get the celebration started, State Fair historians have cracked open the archives for a fun 175th anniversary-themed quiz where Fairgoers can become a Grand Champion of State Fair trivia here.

Tickets are now available for the 2026 Wisconsin State Fair and a selection of Bank Five Nine Main Stage concerts. Visit WiStateFair.com to score the best prices on tickets, Creams Puffs and more State Fair Favorites. Stay tuned to social media to see more ways you can join the celebration.
