Apply Now For Cover Crop Insurance Premium Rebates

The application for Crop Insurance Premium Rebates for Planting Cover Crops Enrollment is now available!

The program has $800,000, or 160,000 acres of coverage, to award on a first-come, first-served basis. A few things to note:

1. If you received federal or state cost-share or incentives for planting cover crops in 2025, you are not eligible for the program.
2. Applicants will need their FSA-578 and FSA maps to complete the enrollment form. Reported field cover crop acres should match acres on FSA-578. Contact your local FSA office to obtain these forms if needed. Applicants will not need to submit a copy of the form with the application, but may be asked to provide one to DATCP staff for verification purposes.
3. There is no limit on the acres an applicant can apply for.
4. Instructions are available via the program webpage.

Rebate applications will be accepted until program funding is exhausted, or until noon on January 30, 2026 at the latest.
