“Loop The Lake” This Weekend

Support clean, healthy lakes with Clean Lakes Alliance’s 13th Annual Loop the Lake Bike Ride. Loop the Lake is an at-your-own-pace bike ride around Lake Monona on June 14 that raises funds to protect and preserve Greater Madison’s lakes.

Make a day of it while you enjoy entertaining and educational activities at many parks along the route. Whether you can attend in person or virtually, the event has something for everyone.

“If we all do our part, urban and rural, we can help our lakes,” says Founder and Executive Director James Tye.

Taking place at Olbrich Park, the ride is 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Kids ages 10 and under ride free with a paid adult. The in-person tickets are $48. The ticket includes a t-shirt, a food cart item, and an alcoholic beverage for those ages 21 and over.

Loop the Lake serves as a fundraiser to support Clean Lakes Alliance’s mission to champion lakes and watershed stewardship for the benefit of all. The funds raised from the event are utilized for water quality monitoring, grants for lake improvement, and supporting community education efforts, ensuring the continued ecological health of Greater Madison’s lakeshores.
