$55K in Scholarships for WI Livestock Exhibitors

The Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation is offering $55,000 in scholarships to Wisconsin State Fair Junior Livestock exhibitors in 2025. These scholarships aim to recognize achievements and also support educational goals.

“We are proud to reward hardworking youth for their dedication and accomplishments,” said Kristi Lange, Blue Ribbon Sale of Champions Foundation representative. “These scholarships can make a meaningful difference in their future.”

The 2025 scholarships include:

  • One $5,000 scholarship
  • Three $3,000 scholarships
  • Seven $2,000 scholarships
  • Twenty-seven $1,000 scholarships

Eligible applicants must be between 17-19 years old as of January 1, 2025. They must also be a current or past junior livestock exhibitor at the Wisconsin State Fair, having shown beef, sheep, swine, and/or goats. Additionally, applicants must be pursuing post-high school education at a university, vocational/technical school, or university short course. Only one scholarship will be awarded per individual.

Applicants must submit a completed online application by Friday, April 18, 2025. The scholarship committee will select 38 recipients based on State Fair participation, leadership activities, and also scholastic achievement. The top 11 finalists will interview for the highest awards on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Interview dates may change based on the Wisconsin State Fair schedule.

Winners will be recognized at the Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Scholarships will be paid after recipients provide proof of enrollment for the 2025 fall semester by September 1, 2025.
