FFA Students Submit Radio Spots – Listen Here!

During Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s FFA Farm Forum in Rothschild last week, student members attended career-based workshops including: ‘Broadcast Bootcamp’ with Stephanie Hoff. During the workshop, students learned about the Mid-West Farm Report Radio Network, a career in broadcasting, and Stephanie’s path to radio.

The second half of the presentation taught students how to write and record a simple radio package 30 seconds in length that included a hook, an introduction, a story, and a close. The FFA members then had the option of submitting their work to the Mid-West Farm Report.

Below are some of the team’s favorites of more than 40 submissions.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
