Gallagher, a global leader in animal management solutions, announces its official North American eShepherd virtual fencing launch. The company first brought this technology to North America in early 2024, piloting it with producers. eShepherd virtual fencing system is designed to transform the way producers manage their livestock.
This breakthrough technology offers an efficient, sustainable, and animal-friendly solution to
fencing, redefining the future of livestock management.
eShepherd creates virtual boundaries for grazing livestock. Equipped with a solar-powered
neckband, the animals are guided within designated areas through auditory cues and a pulse.
Producers create and monitor livestock boundaries remotely via a web and smartphone app.
This enables more precise management of grazing patterns and improved pasture utilization.
The eShepherd system supports rotational grazing, helping producers maximize pasture
regeneration and reduce overgrazing.
