Farm Wisconsin To Host Food Drive

Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center will be open Monday, January 20 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. To honor the holiday, the organization will be hosting a food drive for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Guests who donate non-perishable food items will receive $5 off general admission to the discovery center.

From 9 AM to 4 PM, guests can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Wisconsin agriculture. The center offers 10,000 square feet of interactive exhibits showcasing the production of food, fuel, and fiber in the state. After exploring the exhibits, guests can get up close and personal with a dairy cow and may even witness the birth of a calf in the awe-inspiring Land O’Lakes birthing barn.

In addition, the Wisconsin Café will be open from 8 AM – 2:30 PM. Featuring a newly-launched winter menu crafted by Farm Wisconsin’s chef, the café offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is dedicated to addressing hunger throughout the state of Wisconsin. With support from local donors, the organization distributes food items to various pantries, meal programs, shelters, and more. All items collected during the food drive will help support Feeding America’s mission. This is to provide food to families who face food insecurity in the surrounding communities. Highly requested items include canned goods, dried food goods, fresh fruits and vegetables, and toiletry items.
