Corn stored in all positions in Wisconsin on September 1, totaled 100 million bushels,. This is up 35 percent from 2023, according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service grain stocks report. The national corn stocks average was up 29 percent.
Of the total stocks, 46 percent were stored on-farm. The June-August 2024 indicated disappearance totaled 114 million bushels, 15 percent below the 134 million bushels from the same quarter the previous year.
Soybeans stored in all positions in Wisconsin on September 1, totaled 9.73 million bushels, up 4 percent from 2023. The national soybean average was up 29 percent.
Of the total stocks, 31 percent were stored on-farm. Indicated disappearance for June-August 2024 was 20.6 million bushels, 19 percent above the 17.4 million bushels from the same quarter the previous year.
