Enjoy Porkapalooza During Corn-Soy Expo

Pork producers and industry partners are invited to attend the 2023 Pork & Corn/Soy Expo Feb. 2-3 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells.

During the Expo, Wisconsin Pork Association will be hosting several programs to keep pork producers current on industry issues and provide networking opportunities for youth and pork industry members.

The WPA annual membership meeting will take place Feb. 2. The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Kalahari Resort in the Africa 10 room.

The annual meeting allows WPA members the opportunity to provide input on policies and the future direction of the organization. Elections for the board of directors be held during the meeting. Scholarship and distinguished service award recipients will also be recognized.

Following the annual meeting, there will be multiple breakout sessions focusing on PRRS, foreign animal disease preparedness, what happens at “hour 73” if a foreign animal disease does strike, plus other agronomic information sessions.

WPA will host their special “Porkapalooza” starting at 6 p.m. in the Africa Foyer. This event is sure to put a smile on your face with exciting entertainment by Wisconsin’s NEW Dueling Pianos. This show will have you dancing in the aisles, eating pork hors d’oeuvres and networking with some of the best people in the industry. Bring your checkbook or credit card, as the event will feature WPA’s auctions to raise funds for our Wisconsin youth and industry issues.

Special auction items include a Northwoods Lodge Adventure package, Green Bay Packers tickets and football, Duroc “Kay” print, Vortex Optics Range Finder, Mallards and Timber Rattlers Tickets, Wisconsin State Fair ticket package, local products baskets, pies, and more!

Feb. 3 is another full day of presentations focusing on mental health, new swine industry research, legislative updates and an exciting presentation from the Shark Farmer.

You may email [email protected] to attend only the annual meeting & Porkapalooza. Register through WPA or the Corn-Soy Expo website: https://cornsoyexpo.org/
