The cutest class you’ll ever take is coming your way Feb. 18-19. This is the weekend when the UW-Madison Arlington Research Station Sheep Unit will be your learning laboratory — in the midst of lambing season.
Join Outreach Specialist Todd Taylor, Extension educators, and guest speakers Dan Smercheck and Kay Nelson to learn about ewe and lamb nutrition, veterinary care, and record keeping. This is also your chance to gain hands-on experience processing lambs, and observing and assisting with the birthing process.
Attendees can also volunteer for the late evening shift watching ewes. The lambing barn will be open on the evenings of Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, when many ewes are due to lamb. This experience will no doubt bring education and entertainment, not to mention smiles.
Immerse yourself in the lambing process before, during and after parturition. Need more info? Contact [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected]
It costs $100 to register. Space is limited. Register by Feb. 11: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/badger-lambing-school-tickets-492867519017
