The agriculture industry is changing rapidly from ongoing technological innovation to global supply chain disruptions. As a leading innovator, CLAAS constantly strives to optimize grower operations, provide transparency and help agriculture professionals improve their bottom line.
Daryl Theis, head of marketing and sales for CLAAS, shares more about the latest product innovations, global supply chain projections and how they are meeting the needs of growers across North America.
“We launched a new combine this past summer that is targeted towards farmers in the Midwest,” says Theis. “Our customers were saying that they felt like their voice wasn’t being heard so we used that feedback to create this machine that is more reliable and affordable.”
That machine as well as other equipment that CLAAS has rolled out are all designed with the farmer in mind. They focus on providing more traction yet less soil compaction. Farmers are facing challenges everyday and Theis says CLAAS is committed to providing equipment to make their life easier rather than harder.
Theis adds, “There are two main things we are trying to help farmers achieve. First is having a machine that can handle the capacity size they need to save time. Second is making our machines more efficient with the use of automation.”
Theis and his team are working hard to meet the needs of growers across North America. Their parts team has been proactively building their parts inventory in anticipation for any shortages.
“We’ve worked really hard to stabilize our production and our workforce in our factories to be able to say here’s the volume, here’s what it’s going to cost, so farmers can have a very detailed plan and be able to make a business decision as far as 2023 and beyond,” says Theis.
