When you first meet Bob Nash, you’re struck by his size and “ready for fun” look in his eye. Take time to visit with the young farm leader from Ozaukee County, and you’ll find out just how serious he is about being a champion for agriculture.
Pam Jahnke visited with Nash, who is about to conclude his tenure as leader of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist (YFA) program. The YFA program targets Farm Bureau members between the ages of 18 and 35. It also encompasses not only farmers, but those connected to agriculture through their professions and passions. Nash is one of those.
Bob Nash didn’t grow up on a farm, in fact he has no family members connected to agriculture at all. From a young age though, Nash felt compelled to be a part of agriculture. He started exhibiting livestock through 4-H and things started to click. Suddenly a big part of his social circle involved friends in farming.
Fast forward to Nash’s involvement with the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and it’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist group – and Nash was able to take his dedication to the industry up a notch.
Friday evening, WFBF friends, family, and out of state fans will be in Wisconsin Dells to celebrate the fun, and direction, that Bob Nash has contributed. Congratulations Bob! What’s next?
