The Mayer Family welcomes Kaylee Pingel into their family businesses this summer. Kaylee will plan and document memorable events as the Event Coordinator and Marketing Manager at Folk Song Farm near Richfield, Wisconsin. Kaylee has always had a passion for creating plans that bring about unforgettable experiences. This summer she will have the opportunity to put her skills into practice as part of her college internship and educational experience.
Pingel recently completed her first year at Lakeshore Technical College where she is pursuing her Associate of Applied Science degree in Agribusiness Science and Technology. In addition to her studies, she was elected as the Treasurer of the Professional Agricultural Student Organization. Upon completion of her associate’s degree, Pingel plans to attend a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness.
Although Pingel did not grow up on a farm her family was previously part of the agriculture industry. Dating back to the late 1800s, prior generations managed a farm and her mother’s childhood home produced food for their 7-person family. Pingel attributes her passion for the industry to her history and desire to learn more about her roots.
The recently renovated barn at Folk Song Farm will be home to all the events Pingel will coordinate this summer. The historical 1850s Folk Song barn celebrated its rebirth on November 30, 2017 and has become well known as an extraordinary location to commemorate life’s greatest moments. Set on 48 acres of rural farmland at 4811 Pioneer Road near Richfield, Wisc., the view from Folk Song Farm offers sunset panoramas and a glimpse of local wildlife and birds in their natural habitat. The 7th-generation family-owned-and-operated location has been the site of weddings, dinners, meetings, reunions, family gatherings and more.
“Our family feels blessed when we can help a young person further develop their skills and define a career path.” said Shelly Mayer, owner of Folk Song Farm Events LLC. “We feel extremely fortunate to get to work with Kaylee Pingel this summer. She has exceptional skills, a fantastic attitude, and a wonderful work ethic.”
