The Original Cream Puff, at almost 100 years old, is still a staple at the Wisconsin State Fair. So much so that Tim Gill says they serve 350,000-400,000 during those 11 days every summer, and have begun offering them periodically throughout the year.
The Wisconsin Baker’s Association has operated the stand since 1924, with the help of “Team Cream Puff,” made up of employees and volunteers.
There are opportunities to join Team Cream Puff for the “sweetest” job at the state fair as a volunteer or staff member.
Volunteer benefits include:
- Admission ticket to the WI State Fair
- Parking reimbursement
- Cream Puff t-shirt (Organizations can wear their own shirts too!)
- Volunteer Badge
- Cow Hat
- 6pk of Original Cream Puffs (of course!)
- Volunteer Group Name Displayed
- Hourly compensation to the organization of your choice
Volunteer shifts run: 8am-12pm, 10am-2pm, 12pm-4pm
