Green County’s Breakfast on the Farm is the first of many dairy breakfasts in Wisconsin, which will be taking place from 6-10am on May 28th at Sunset Ridge Dairy Farm in Monticello.
Erin Mullett, a Publicity chair on the Breakfast Committee, says that they plan to serve over 4,500 people a hearty meal of scrambled eggs cracked by hand, sausages made with pork donated from local producers, and a strawberry sundae bar courtesy of the Green County Ag Chest.
Why have a dairy breakfast in June? Mullett says that Green County has historically held the event Memorial Day weekend to build the excitement for June dairy month, and to be the official “kick-off” of the month-long dairy celebration.
