Biodigester Makes Debut In Greenleaf, WI

Wisconsin is home to nearly 1.3 million dairy cows, all that produce manure on a daily basis. A new biodigester project will be taking off in Greenleaf, WI to help contribute to dairies bottom line, and provide a more sustainable solution to manure management.

Don Heilman, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Digested Organics, says the project will incorporate 11 different dairies to start, filtering through nearly one million gallons of manure every day.

The filtered manure will create digestate, biogas, clean water and dried fiber solids that can be used for bedding. The clean water will later be discharged into the Fox river.

For more information about the project, visit https://digestedorganics.com/.
