The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has officially announced a new hire for agricultural education. Sally Ladsten has accepted the Agriculture Food and Natural Resources Education Consultant position at DPI. Ladsten will start at DPI on January 31, 2022.
Sally graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Education and minor in Biology Education. She is dual licensed and currently teaches courses in agriculture and biology at Sauk Prairie High School where she is also a co-advisor to the FFA. Sally is a former state FFA officer, serving as the Wisconsin State FFA President in 2015-2016. She has worked for the National FFA Organization as a State Officer Leadership Program Facilitator. She also has business and industry experience as a research assistant with a crop protection company.
Ladsten’s new position with DPI will including providing resources and leadership for educators within the agriculture, food and natural resources field, as well as assisting other career and technical education programs. She will also serve as the Wisconsin FFA Advisor in her role.
