Here are the basics of getting to, from, and around Wisconsin Farm Technology Days. The biggest item of note, especially if you’re from nearby Eau Claire is that tent city is not actually at Huntsinger Farms facility right off State Highway 94. It is down the road off of Highway 37.
When: Tuesday, July 20 – Thursday, July 22 from 9 am – 4 pm
Where: W3020 Mitchell Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701
As mentioned above, this is off of Highway 37, not located right by Highway 94. Another item of note is that coming from the west on Highway 10 has a detour. The bridge in Rock Falls is closed.
Cost: $10 per single day pass
Farm Tours: 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Take a one-hour tour of Huntsinger Horseradish Farm, the Nellie Holsteins Dairy, and drive-by of Ferguson’s Apple Orchard. Load on the north side of the show grounds right in the middle of the show.
Things to Do Outside of FTD: Swim at Chaos Waterpark, visit the Children’s Museum, or even visit Crystal Cave, shop at Family Farms in Eleva, buy cheese at Eau Galle Cheese, smell the flowers at Down to Earth Garden Center
Places to Eat:
Randy’s Family Restaurant, Foster’s Fireside, Galloway Grille, Ramone’s Ice Cream Parlor, Johnny’s Steak House, Mancino’s Grinders and Pizzas, and Roadside Ice Cream and Diner
As a farm family we’re busy, FTD is a great day trip. Wrap up your trip with a bite to eat at one of the above restaurants and/or ice cream parlors. My absolute favorite is Galloway Grille.
