The State FFA Honors Band played energizing music to motivate the audience at the Wisconsin FFA State Convention.
Monte Dunnum, State FFA Honors Band Director, says, “It feels fantastic! There’s a lot of kids out there that haven’t had a regular band experience.” After not being able to play last year due to the Online State FFA Convention, they were excited to have an in-person performance.
The State FFA Honors Band unites musicans and FFA members across the state playing music from movies to their iconic Super Hit Mega Mix and More. This particular piece of music Dunnum says, “The whole convention will get up and start dancing. It’s just a blast.”
With looking forward to the National FFA Convention in October Dunnum says, “We have information that National will proceed with a band, choir, and talent.” This is for FFA members that have been in the State FFA Honors Band for more than 1 year.
These band members are FFA members which means they are hard working individuals. Dunnum says, “We have people that have taken time off their agricultural related jobs at home.” The friendships developed in the FFA Honors Band continues to prosper year after year at the Wisconsin FFA State Convention and Wisconsin State Fair.
If you want to listen to the Wisconsin FFA State Honors Band or Choir, attend the last 4 days of the Wisconsin State Fair where they will be performing at various locations.
