Focusing On Food Trends

Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW), announces the line-up of speakers for week 63 of The Dairy Signal™. Episodes this week feature a look at the consumer side of the dairy industry, including product development and food trends.

Michelle McBride, Founder & CEO, GoodSport™ Nutrition and Tom Guerin, Research Program Manager, Center for Dairy Research, will provide a look inside how ideas for new products are generated and the process to develop and market them. Molly Browne, Education Manager, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin and Tina Peterson, National Program Manager, Media Appearances-Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, will share dairy’s role in the latest consumer food trends and how recipes, food pairings and more drive demand.

Dan Basse, Economist and President of AgResource Company, will return to The Dairy Signal with his bi-weekly update and analysis of U.S. and global agricultural markets.

Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for fellow dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day. Episodes of The Dairy Signal in June and July are sponsored by Prairie Estates Genetics.

All Dairy Signal episodes are available to the public at no cost, with current and past episodes accessible through www.pdpw.org.

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
