Portage County Dairy Drive-Thru Lunch

The Portage County Dairy Committee is excited to announce their Dairy Drive-Thru lunch being held Saturday, June 19at Feltz Family Farms and Dairy Store in Stevens Point.  The delicious lunch will feature grilled cheese sandwiches with fresh cheese curds, ice cream, potato chips, sweet, dried cranberries and ice cold milk!  The drive-thru will be open from 10am-1pm and will include a drive-thru tour of the farm’s dairy facilities, where attendees can learn more about how a dairy farm works. There will also be equipment displays to see and kids receive a free goody bag.  Tickets for the lunch are just $5 and can be purchased on-site the day of the event or ahead of time at Feltz’s Dairy Store, located at 5796 Porter Drive, Stevens Point, 54482.

Portage County has long been known for our incredible potato and vegetable production, but dairy also has a significant impact on the economy here.  Portage County dairy farms produce over $42.5 million of economic activity in our county alone!  The Portage County Dairy Committee is proud to support and celebrate our dairy farm families through educational and promotional activities throughout the year, including the annual dairy day held in June.  Other activities and organizations funded by the Dairy committee include local 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, the Boys & Girls Club, Children’s Museum, Community Thanksgiving Dinner and other community events.

The Dairy Committee is also hosting a Meat & Dairy Raffle in conjunction with the lunch. Proceeds support the activities mentioned above and on-going efforts of Portage County Dairy Committee. A grand-prize meat basket valued at over $500 will be drawn at the breakfast, with 4 additional runner-up baskets also given away. Winners need not be present to win. Tickets are only $10 or 3 for $20 and can be purchased at Feltz’s Dairy Store or by contacting Dusty Stuczynski at 715-498-8345.
