It’s common for folks in my business to take a glance at the daily “National Day of…” calendars to generate a bit of conversation.
When I did that somewhere around 3 a.m. to get ready for today’s morning show, I smiled when I saw that it’s National Chocolate Day.
Chocolate — as they call real chocolate — of course has little if anything to do with the dairy industry. But in my world, the chocolate is milk chocolate — as real as it gets.
That’s a minimum of 12 percent of dairy yumminess in each piece of milk chocolate that passes through my lips.
Better still, chocolate milk is my favorite means of consuming chocolate. That’s the best of both worlds, here in America’s Dairyland.
Enjoy your chocolate today, whichever way you choose. I’ll be here, though, again lifting my glass of milk in a toast to the day.
Cheers!
