Compeer Financial, a member-owned Farm Credit cooperative serving Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin, is pleased to announce the results of its 2020 board of directors election. Member-owners elected Mark Cade of Westby, Wisconsin, Dale Holmgren of North Mankato, Minnesota and David Peters of Manteno, Illinois to serve on Compeer Financial’s board of directors.
Cade, Holmgren and Peters are all incumbent members of the board and will serve four-year terms.
The Compeer Financial board of directors sets business direction, and monitors and evaluates operations, all while taking into consideration client needs, the changing marketplace and Compeer’s commitment to serving agriculture and rural America.
Elections took place via mailed ballots in September. Directors are elected across Compeer’s three regions, which follow state boundaries for the 144 counties the organization serves in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. In total, there are 17 members of the board; 14 of whom are elected by member-owners and three of whom are appointed by the board to offer additional expertise and insights.
Additionally, 24 candidates were elected to a one-year term on the nominating committee, which is responsible for identifying, evaluating and nominating suitable candidates for director positions and future nominating committee positions.
