The Wisconsin Beef Council, through the Beef Checkoff, is proud to be part of “United We Steak,” a national summer grilling campaign from the Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner. brand. To extend the consumer campaign across Wisconsin, a state theme of “Grill Like You Mean It” is helping spread the sense of pride to beef-loving Wisconsin natives.
Thirty Wisconsin meat processors have agreed to have their shops located on a map that incentivizes consumers to purchase beef at those locations. Stores have recipes and point of sale materials at the meat case to showcase the promotion, and are featured on the WBC website and social media pages. In addition, a number of other retail locations throughout the state have in-store promotional materials posted in the meat case, and the widely-followed Wisconsin Beef Council social media pages and consumer advertising efforts are further elevating and keeping beef top of mind. Partnerships with a number of in-state bloggers to feature beef and create new beef recipes are extending the message that beef is king of the grill in Wisconsin.
