The Fond du Lac County fair definitely had a new look and feel to ensure the safety of the public, exhibitors and volunteers safe. The fair is taking place now through Sunday July 19th, and to attend the fair you have to reserve a free ticket online. The fair is closed from 4-5 pm each day for sanitation and many social distancing reminders are found throughout the fair.
Many fair goers, exhibitors and judges had nothing but praise for the Fond du Lac County Fair Board for prioritizing the exhibitors and continuing on with the show. Farm animals won’t be the only animals you see at the fair, there is also a Sea Lion Show that preforms a couple of time throughout the day.
The Poultry show was the only show taking place on Thursday July 16th, but the smiles on the exhibitors faces were brighter than normal. The gratitude that was expressed by everyone for having an event during this time was overwhelming in the barns. Katie Grinstead the Fair board President said that the support from the community was unmatched by any other year and the 2020 sale was one for the record books!
