Bob Bosold, our WAXX farm director, took a drive yesterday through part of the west-central Wisconsin region and reported that much of the planting appears to have been completed.
Some crops are starting to emerge in the earlier-planted sandy soils and on the ridges from Menomonie to La Crosse.
Bob reported, however, that alfalfa has a bit of growing to do before the harvest starts.
Warm days and a sunny sky forecast during the next couple of days should help with both situations. Now, if only those conditions also could make the farm commodity markets recover a little more quickly….
