Professional Dairy Producers® – PDPW has released the speaker and content line up for week four of The Dairy Signal™., held Apr. 28-30, 2020. Highlights include Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Randy Romanski, Interim Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, addressing the state of the dairy industry, Tue., Apr. 28.
Developed by fellow dairy farmers from the PDPW Board of Directors, The Dairy Signal is a weekly series of free educational episodes offering insights and resources for dairy farmers and other food system professionals throughout the value chain.
Each day during the Dairy Signal, respective speakers break down the day’s dairy business and market dynamics and offer tools to get farmers through the day and weeks ahead until the world stabilizes. The episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; recorded sessions are available later in the day. The Spanish translation, La Señal Lechera™, will also be available via recording.

During last week’s The Dairy Signal, Dr. Heather White, Assistant Professor of Dairy Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said, “There are some things that will come out of this to make us all better – whether it’s that people will remember how important agriculture is in this country to ensure they have food on their plates and in their refrigerators every day or how we have reconnected with so many people we have lost touch with.
