Plans are moving forward for the Marshfield Dairyfest Mayor’s Breakfast to be held May 29, with no plans for cancelling the event.
The Marshfield breakfast is among each spring’s earliest traditional dairy breakfasts, and is one of the state’s longest-running and largest dairy breakfasts.
Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry officials still are planning for the breakfast and the accompanying weekend Dairyfest activities to run the weekend of May 29, MACCI program director Debbie Bauer said in an e-mail to WAXX 104.5. She said if it can’t be held then because of the coronavirus-control guidelines, the breakfast will be rescheduled.
“If for some reason the governor’s orders are not lifted and it would not be safe for the community, we would look at rescheduling the event,” Bauer said. “This is something the community so looks forward to and we need to give them something to hope for.”
