Four-hundred gallons of propane will be donated to a military veteran or service person through an area cooperative.
Countryside Cooperative, which covers a wide swath of west-central Wisconsin, will donate the propane through its “40 for 400” program.
Under the program, veterans and active duty or reservist military personnel may enter a drawing each of 40 days, starting Feb. 28. A drawing will be held April 17 during a small-engines workshop hosted by the cooperative.
“It’s just a small token for the sacrifices our veterans have made,” said Doug Yule, the cooperative’s southern area propane manager.
Yule said the entries may be made at any of the cooperative’s retail locations.
