Winneshiek County will offer the Commercial Ag Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, February 12, 2020. The program will be shown at locations across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP).
The local attendance site is Winneshiek County Extension and Outreach. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The registration fee is $45. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Winneshiek County by phoning 563-382-2949.
The course will provide continuing instruction credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 1A, 1B, 1C, and 10. Topics covered will include information on safe handling and storage of pesticides, laws and regulations, personal protective equipment, and pest management.
Additionally, Winneshiek County will host a Seed Treatment Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators, Wednesday, February 19, 2020. The program will be shown at locations across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP).
The local attendance site is Decorah, IA. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course runs from 9 to 11 a.m. The registration fee is $35 on or before Feb. 12 and $45 after Feb. 12, however other counties may not have a late registration fee. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Winneshiek County by phoning 563-382-2949.

Certified Crop adviser (CCA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered at this program. Interested participants should bring their CCA number.
