On February 4, Governor Tony Evers will attend Ag Day at the Capitol at the Monona Terrace in Madison.
This event is the largest gathering of farmers from across the state representing a variety of farm groups to learn more about issues impacting Wisconsin agriculture and meet with their state legislators.
“We are excited to host Governor Evers at this event that brings together many of Wisconsin’s agricultural groups,” said WFBF President Joe Bragger. “We appreciate his interest in agriculture and helping our farmers.”
The event begins with registration at 11 a.m. with the program starting at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served followed by issue briefings and time for attendees to visit their legislators in the Capitol. The Governor is expected around 1 p.m.
This year’s event will also feature a panel on water. Panelists who have confirmed their attendance include Senators Howard Marklein and Patrick Testin in addition to Representatives Todd Novak, Travis Tranel, Tony Kurtz and Katrina Shankland. The panel will be moderated by Dennis Frame.
Other topics to be discussed include wildlife damage and food labeling.

It is important that attendees call the offices of their legislators in advance to schedule an appointment between 3 and 5 p.m. for Tuesday, February 4.
