Operators of concentrated animal feeding operations will gather in Eau Claire on Feb. 12 to hear about the latest rules concerning the farms.
The session will included updates for CAFO owners and managers who have Wisconsin pollution discharge elimination system permits, producers considering expansion, nutrient management-plan writers and engineers who deal with CAFOs.
The program, which will be at the Metropolis Resort, will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension and state Department of Natural Resources. Information about the meeting is available through the UW-Extension or DNR.
Wisconsin has more than 300 CAFO farms.
