Huntsinger Farms, which in July will host Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, has received a Focus on Energy grant of about $29,000 to install 288 solar panels at the farm.
The installation will be one of the first solar-energy farm installations in Wisconsin.
Huntsinger Farms president Eric Rygg said the solar energy will dramatically reduce the farm’s energy costs.
Farm Technology Days will be July 21-23 at the farm along Highway 93 west of Eau Claire. Huntsinger Farms is the world’s largest producer of horseradish.
