Damon Smith is a plant pathologist at UW-Madison, and he recently shared his concerns regarding disease and the corn and soybean crops for 2019. The biggest issue, especially in corn, is the fact that not all of the plants are in the same part of the growth stage. This has made it difficult to nail down disease issues and treatment.
