Long-time Eau Claire County University of Wisconsin-Extension agricultural agent Mark Hagedorn is being named the UW-Extension’s first dairy outreach and program manager.
Hagedorn announced yesterday that he’d be leaving his Eau Claire County position to take the new position.
The agent, whose last day at the Eau Claire County UW-Extension office is Aug. 1, said he expects to continue in some capacity with the Eau Claire County Farm Technology Days 2020 Executive Committee.
“This is a huge accomplishment, and I celebrate Mark’s dedication, leadership and contributions to bring him to this next chapter,” said Catherine Emmanuelle, area UW-Extension director for Chippewa, Dunn and Eau Claire Counties.
Emmanuelle said in a memo to UW-Extension staff that she and Hagedorn are working on a transition plan for providing ongoing leadership for the 2020 Farm Technology Days and in hiring Hagedorn’s replacement. She will be issuing an Eau Claire County Extension Education Committee report about the changes during the committee’s July 17 meeting.
