There’s nothing better than a good ole’ fashioned county fair. Between the endless supply of corn dogs and funnel cakes to the towering ferris wheels to the racing pigs, a county fair is as good as it gets. But who is behind this signature summer event? Hundreds of people working tirelessly to make the event incredible, sure. And at the very top of the county fair hierarchy is the General Manager.
L.C. Scramlin is the GM of the Oakland County Fair in Davisburg, Michigan. Since the 1980’s, under his watchful eye the fair has flipped from a fledgling event with low attendance to a 10-day extravaganza with an attendance of roughly 100,000 people. Though the event is only a little over a week long, Scramlin and his staff work tirelessly year round to ensure the fair clicks on all cylinders come the first week in July.
