Wisconsin Farm Technology Days needs your help! This year’s show is hosted in Jefferson County by Walter Grain Farms on July 23-25th.
“We still need people to help in several areas,” said LaVern Georgson with Jefferson County Extension. “We’re looking for people to help with parking and directing traffic, as well as tractor drivers and spotters for the trams,” he added.
Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is one of the largest outdoor farm shows in Wisconsin. It is run almost entirely by volunteers and takes years of planning. Tent city occupies about 70 acres and takes about a month to set-up. There are opportunities to help before, during and following the show.
Organizations and/or individuals are highly encouraged to help. Tractor drivers must be at least 18 years old and are required to complete a short tractor safety course offered through Jefferson County Farm Technology Days. The show attracts about 40,000 people in three days and will take place in a 70-acre hay field.
