It is nearly the beginning of June and the rain just doesn’t want to go away. With all of this precipitation it’s becoming increasingly difficult for farmers to not only get into the field for planting, but as well as survey crop conditions effectively.
But, with advancements in technology and a little bit of thinking outside the box it is now possible to analyze a crop without ever having to step foot in the field. Joseph Paul, the founder and owner of FlightSight, offers aerial scouting services for farmers with the use of his equipment. Joe, who calls New Lisbon home, grew up with a farming background and has a pilot’s license. He saw a void in agriculture that he knew could be filled with his expertise and his technology, as well as a new way to use drones in every day life.
