The relationship between the producer and the consumer is more important than ever before. To put it simply, people want to know where their food is coming from. In an effort to bridge the gap between the farmer and the average consumer, the Wisconsin Beef Council has created “Farm to Fork” tours. These day-long excursions take consumers straight to the farm (or a similar ag operation) and let them see firsthand how these facilities operate and where the products they are consuming are originating from.
In this instance it was a group of Waukesha County Technical College culinary students touring agricultural operations in the Lake Geneva area- Merry Water Farm, Dave Adams Family Farm, and Lake Geneva Country Meat.
