When 4-H members age-out of the organization, those members often continue being involved in activities they were involved in during their 4-H careers. Katie Nelson, a former Eau Claire County 4-H member, was involved in the 4-H’s equine programs, and it helped lead her into becoming involved with collegiate equine programs.

Nelson’s education through 4-H and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls has led to a career in working with horses.
