The Wisconsin Holstein Association would like to invite everyone to attend the 32nd annual Futurity Show on Saturday, August 11th at 6 pm in the Case IH Coliseum at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Holstein Futurity is a non-traditional cattle show, where the exhibitors enter their animals three years prior to the show in hopes of raising a high-quality show cow. It is a prestigious show where only the best Registered Holsteins compete. Of the 94 animals originally entered, 15 will compete to become the next WHA Futurity champion.
Even though the cows are the stars of the show, the WHA Futurity is a time for our exhibitors to exchange their white pants and boots for ball gowns and tuxedos. All the exhibitors will dress to impress in formal attire as they compete for best dressed awards.
There are three major sponsors of the Futurity that help to make the show possible. Exhibitors will compete for the grand prize of $1,500which is sponsored by Compeer Financial. Second place is rewarded with $750 sponsored by International Protein Sires, and third place receives $500 sponsored by Agropur. All animals that show will also receive a percentage of the original entry money.
The WHA Futurity show is not only a fun and formal event for the exhibitors, it’s also a great way to promote the dairy industry. The main purpose of the show is to promote the dairy industry to the general public, and display the care and dedication that dairy producers have for their animals and the products they produce. The WHA Futurity was created to inform people that are not from an agriculture background about Registered Holsteins and the dairy industry. We hope to see everyone at this year’s WHA Futurity Show.
