Schoenborn New Communications Director

The Wisconsin Agri-Business Association (WABA) has named Sara Schoenborn their Director of Marketing and Public Relations. In this role, Schoenborn will also be contracted to serve as the Communications Director for the Wisconsin Corn Program. Her duties for both organizations will focus on media and member relations, social media and event marketing.

“We are delighted to have Sara join Wisconsin Corn and for this partnership with WABA,” says Nicole Wagner, Wisconsin Corn Executive Director. “WABA’s members are our growers’ partners and with Sara’s help, we hope to expand program offerings that are beneficial to both organizations.”

Schoenborn is a 2010 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she majored in dairy science and life sciences communication. She will be graduating in May with a Master’s of Agribusiness degree from Kansas State University. Previously, Schoenborn served as the Director of Communications for Cooperative Network and as Executive Director of the Wisconsin FFA Foundation.

“We are really excited to have Sara join the WABA team,” says Tom Bressner, WABA Executive Director. “Her experience, enthusiasm and love for agriculture will help WABA reach new heights in growing positive relations with our members and the public.”

About Pam Jahnke

Getting up at 2 in the morning might shock some of her listeners, but for Pam Jahnke, it’s part of the business. Born in Northeastern Wisconsin, Pam Jahnke grew up in agriculture. Raised on her family’s 200-acre dairy farm, she learned the “farm work ethic” first hand.
